I had the amazing privilege to visit Sarajevo this summer. I regret not buying a coffee grinder made from old war shells. I guess I always think that anything can be purchased online; certainly, most things can be. Sadly, I can't find one. Is there anyone in the area that sells their products online? If not, someone should.

Just like theblackswans said, I don't think the genocide would have happened if a braver, stronger country had been in charge, if the US soldiers were in Srebrenica in stead of the Dutchbatters for example. The Americans would have never let the genocide happen, they would have never let the Serbs treat them the way Karremans was treated. I mean, you gotta have some guts as a soldier, especially an experienced older one like Karremans (was supposed to be). These guys were not acting like soldiers imo.

The Dutchbat Griffen soldiers were complete cowards who sided more with the Serbs than the local population. They blamed the Bosniaks for them being there in the first place. The Dutch were completely at the mercy of the Serbs and needed there support to do anything. Also because the VRS controlled the whole situation and could get things done, they preferred dealing with them...Remember what was scrawled on the walls of the Dutch compound in Potacari? If the Canadians were there they would have responded much differently than the Dutch who were complicit in their response to the genocide. May God have mercy on their souls for having the blood of over 8,000 innocent civillians on their hands...
